Hope everyone is having a great weekend! The hubs and I are both home sick with a stomach bug! While missing out on all my plans for this weekend is not fun, I have been able to catch up on a lot of invitations. I just finished these. The client wanted an eclectic look, that embraced her taste. She knew she wanted to incorporate honeycombs, and the colors yellow & gray. I took it from there. These invitations were a challenge for me, since they were so far from the style I am used to designing. In the end, the client was pleased and that is all that matters!

Wishful Wed - DASH Style!

I wish' .... I could spend three
I really thought about this one, I wanted to come up with something smart and classy. Yet, somehow I ended up with Kim K, not the classiest or smartest person. Oh well, at least I am honest. I absolutely love Kim and the whole Karashian clan! They are funny, have amazing fashion sense, and not to mention they are gorgeous. Of course I cant forget her sidekick Khloe, I love her personality. Everyone says I remind them of Khloe...and what can I say, she is pretty funny! I am also slightly obsessed with their online store, check it out here!

Baby Love
One of my favorite things to do is help new moms show off their new pride and joy to the world. I was so excited when I recently got to a friend at works baby announcement. She knew she wanted blue and black, but left it up to me from there. Here are a few of the options I sent her.

Our Cardless Christmas
The holidays are my favorite time of the year. It creates such a unique opportunity to spend time with family and friends. Something that I think should be more of a priority year round. Christmas cards are another thing I LOVE about the holidays. This year I branched out my little invitation/announcement hobby to the world of Christmas cards. I spent most of November and December making Christmas cards for friends, family and new clients. For someone who loves Christmas cards as much as I do, this was an ideal situation. It was not until the hubs said “it is funny your spending so much time designing and sending out cards for other people, but not us”. I FORGOT TO SEND OUT OUR CHRISTMAS CARD!!!! Something I have been looking forward to for a long time, is sending our first Christmas card as “The Bowen’s”. I can not believe I did not remember to make our Christmas card. Oh well, at least I got to design quite a few. Here are a few of my favorites.

Icing on the "Envelope"
Recently I have been working on more eclectic wedding invitations. As trends move away from traditional and formal invitations, brides are truly embracing modern patterns, funky colors, and I am absolutely loving it. One of my favorite aspects of new modern trends is envelope liners. They take boring old envelopes and make them POP! I am in love! Another great aspect about liners is they are super simple & cheap for all you DIY brides out there. Here are a few of my favorites.
