Show Us Your Life
Every once in a while fellow blogger Kelly's Korner does a "Show Us Your Life" question. I usually love reading everyone else's responses, but this time I decided to play along. The question this time around is - What is Your Typical Day Like?
My mornings start bright and early at 4:45am. I am up, showered, and out the door by 6:00. I know that seems like a long time to get ready, but I love taking my time getting ready for the day ahead. I get to work by 6:50-7:00am. I work untill 6:00pm sometime later depending on if I have to take clients out that night. I leave work, hit the gym on the way home and then get home around 7:30ish.
This starts my favorite part of the day, I cook dinner, feed Titan, and wait for the hubs to get home. Matt usually works till around 8:30 or 9:00. While I am waiting for him, I get dinner finished, and work on any current invitation orders I have. I love the time I get to spend working on my second job/hobby (see it here).
Once the hubs gets home, we eat together and catch up on our days. Then he watches TV or reads a book, while I continue working on invitations orders, or blog.
We usually are in bed around midnight! Long days, but they are filled with stuff we love to do!
In other news, I recently finished this birth announcement for my friend Kelly.

Top Two Tuesdays!
So moving on to my top two, this is tricky because I dont watch very many movies, and it is rare for me to watch a movie more than a once. So because of that my picks are pretty recent.
1. Blind Side: A true story that inspired me, and I LOVE Sandra Bullock, she is so diverse and an amazing actress!
2. Fireproof. This movie is an amazing testimony of God's power to save a marriage. It can help strengthen relationships and marriages regardless of what stage they are in. If you have not seen it, I HIGHLY recommend it. Warning, the acting is not the BEST, but the message is!

MannLand5 Sundays!
Here are this weeks questions:
1. Do you iron your sheets?
I wish I could say no, because I know this is such a waste of time...but yes I do!
2. Your dream car is....?
Range Rover, it will be my next car!
3. Do you have an innie or an outie belly button?
Innie!
4. What meal do you look forward to the most..breakfast, lunch, or dinner?
Hmmm that depends on the day of the week but I would say dinner on the weekends because then I can actually relax and not have to worry about work!
5. Favorite mascara?
HA I have a list (which might be changing soon see post below)
1. MAC ZOOM - now ladies gives this one a chance, it is an oldie but a goodie. It clumps at first, but 10 days into it, its simply AMAZING! It is also price savy at $16 bucks a pop.
2. Dior Show - thickens, lengthens, and curls..? YES PLEASE? A little pricer at $24.
3. Fusion Beauty - now this winner is a night conditioning mascara. This serum basically amplifies what you already have x a billion. Not cheap coming in around $90, but it last forever and really really works.
6. What would you say your decorating style is..traditional, modern, eclectic, country, french country, shabby chic, etc..?
Modern and classy. I mostly furnish my house from Z Gallery, vintage re-do's, West Elm, and anything and everything between. I hate color, but am trying to get over using grey, black and white for everything.
7. Have you ever been skinny dipping?
Nope!
8. I hate the smell of...?
I hate walking into a house (particularly mine) and smelling food made earlier that day (like what the hubs made for breakfast) YUCK! I don't know why but it grosses me out.
Now its your turn, copy and paste these questions into your next post then link it back to MannLand5.

I have a confession.....
......I am obsessed with makeup/skin care products. I buy way to much makeup because I have to try all the new and "best" things out. I am lucky to work two seconds from the galleria, so I get to indulge in my obsession on a weekly basis. Unfortunately, that means spending a lot of $! So when I find a good deal out there I just have to share. I am beyond excited about this find from Sephora. I am at Sephora a lot because they are the only store that carries "Make Up Forever" the BEST make up in the world. Back to the point, on Friday I ran across this.....

Its a Honeycomb Wedding!
Hope everyone is having a great weekend! The hubs and I are both home sick with a stomach bug! While missing out on all my plans for this weekend is not fun, I have been able to catch up on a lot of invitations. I just finished these. The client wanted an eclectic look, that embraced her taste. She knew she wanted to incorporate honeycombs, and the colors yellow & gray. I took it from there. These invitations were a challenge for me, since they were so far from the style I am used to designing. In the end, the client was pleased and that is all that matters!

Wishful Wed - DASH Style!
I wish' .... I could spend three
I really thought about this one, I wanted to come up with something smart and classy. Yet, somehow I ended up with Kim K, not the classiest or smartest person. Oh well, at least I am honest. I absolutely love Kim and the whole Karashian clan! They are funny, have amazing fashion sense, and not to mention they are gorgeous. Of course I cant forget her sidekick Khloe, I love her personality. Everyone says I remind them of Khloe...and what can I say, she is pretty funny! I am also slightly obsessed with their online store, check it out here!

Our Cardless Christmas
The holidays are my favorite time of the year. It creates such a unique opportunity to spend time with family and friends. Something that I think should be more of a priority year round. Christmas cards are another thing I LOVE about the holidays. This year I branched out my little invitation/announcement hobby to the world of Christmas cards. I spent most of November and December making Christmas cards for friends, family and new clients. For someone who loves Christmas cards as much as I do, this was an ideal situation. It was not until the hubs said “it is funny your spending so much time designing and sending out cards for other people, but not us”. I FORGOT TO SEND OUT OUR CHRISTMAS CARD!!!! Something I have been looking forward to for a long time, is sending our first Christmas card as “The Bowen’s”. I can not believe I did not remember to make our Christmas card. Oh well, at least I got to design quite a few. Here are a few of my favorites.

Icing on the "Envelope"
Recently I have been working on more eclectic wedding invitations. As trends move away from traditional and formal invitations, brides are truly embracing modern patterns, funky colors, and I am absolutely loving it. One of my favorite aspects of new modern trends is envelope liners. They take boring old envelopes and make them POP! I am in love! Another great aspect about liners is they are super simple & cheap for all you DIY brides out there. Here are a few of my favorites.
